September 21, 2011 - David Scott has started a one-year secondment in Advancement Services at Western, and I have taken on the role of Editor, Alumni Publications for 2011-2012. As an alumna (BA'96, Sociology, King's University College), I am thrilled to have this opportunity. Having worked in Western's Department of Communications & Public Affairs since 1998 (mostly in media and community relations), I have had the privilege of working with four Alumni Gazette editors - Alan Bass, Terry Lavender, Malcolm Ruddock and David.
With a re-branding process underway, Homecoming about a week out, our 298th Convocation next month and our Mustang Football team 3 and 0 on the season, it is certainly an exciting time at Western. Couple that with our more than 220,000 alumni around the world, and there is no shortage of stories to share in the Alumni Gazette. But we're always looking for ideas, and want to hear from you.
