Prose on the Go contains 34 first-person stories from 18 contributors in 14 locations across Canada. Mark Kearney’s, BA’77 (Journalism) story, New Year, New Date, which originally appeared in the Globe and Mail, attempts to convince readers to shift from saying “two thousand eleven” to “twenty eleven.” Kearney, who teaches writing and journalism at Western, has won five University Students’ Council Teaching Awards of Excellence. He has penned 10 other works, including The Great Canadian Trivia Book.
